Helldorfer Engineering was founded by Philipp Helldorfer, a mechanical engineer with a strong background in product development, mechanical systems, and media technology.

After an early technical career at Bosch - where he gained extensive hands-on experience in machining, control systems, and assembly - and formal engineering education in Berlin, Philipp worked on large-format 3D printers at BigRep. He then spent six years at WHITEvoid, where he was responsible for the mechanical development of kinetic winch systems and also organized their production and on-site setup. These systems continue to operate in international shows such as ABBA Voyage London and Dark Matter Berlin.

Today, Helldorfer Engineering operates as a network of specialized freelancers - including electrical engineers, product designers, creative coders and more- tailored to the unique demands of each project. We focus on realizing large-scale media art installations and immersive experiences at the intersection of technology and design, while also supporting startups and creative companies in developing innovative physical products.

Let’s connect and explore how we can bring your project to life.
