Helldorfer Engineering was founded by Philipp Helldorfer, a mechanical engineer with a strong background in product development, mechanical systems, and media technology.

After an early technical career at Bosch — where he gained extensive hands-on experience in machining, control systems, and assembly — and formal engineering education in Berlin, Philipp worked on large-format 3D printers at BigRep. He then spent six years at WHITEvoid, where he was responsible for the mechanical development of kinetic winch systems and also organized their production and on-site setup. These systems continue to operate in international shows such as ABBA Voyage London and Dark Matter Berlin.

With the founding of Helldorfer Engineering, the goal was clear: to bring together a flexible team of freelance experts to realize large-scale media art installations and immersive experiences at the intersection of technology and design — while also supporting startups and creative companies in the development of innovative physical products.

Today, we support clients from first concept to final installation — combining mechanical expertise with a deep passion for innovation and aesthetics.
